INTRODUCTION to ROSEN METHOD BODYWORK AND MOVEMENT
Embodied Self Awareness & Personal Self Discovery Workshop
September 20 & 21, 2014
Cascadia Centre, Robert’s Creek, B.C. on the Sunshine Coast
Learn the principles of Rosen Method Bodywork and Movement through demonstrations, lecture, personal sharing, hands-on experience and movement. This workshop is an opportunity for self-discovery—no prior experience is needed.
Rosen Method Bodywork is unique in its use of gentle touch and presence to address chronic muscle tension and invite deep relaxation and awareness within the body. Through chronic muscle tension, the body represses feelings and experiences that we could not handle at the time of their occurrence. In this way we often forget what happened; our experiences and emotions become unconscious. Chronic tension, which once served as a protection, often becomes a barrier to the full expression of one’s aliveness. Through this work people have the opportunity to experience themselves as they truly are and the possibilities that unfold as a result.
