Intro to Rosen Method Bodywork, April 12-14, 2013

EXPERIENCE EMBODIED SELF-AWARENESS
Introduction to Rosen Method Bodywork with Essential Motion taught by Karen Roeper
April 12–14, 2013
Sacred Garden Healing Center, Seattle, WA

Learn the principles of Rosen Method and Essential Motion through demonstrations, lecture, personal sharing, hands-on experience, and movement.
This workshop is an opportunity for self-discovery—no prior experience is needed. The primary focus is Rosen Method, with an Essential Motion demo at the end of the weekend.

Rosen Method Bodywork is unique in its use of gentle touch to meet chronic muscle tension and to facilitate deep relaxation. Words are used to support and acknowledge the client’s process. By tuning into their body, the client accesses feelings and life experiences. As habitual tension and unconscious patterns come into awareness, the client has the possibility of experiencing more aliveness and greater ease in their body and in their way of life.
Essential Motion uses movement—the language of the soul—to discover new ways of inhabiting one’s body. It brings awareness to long-held patterns by learning to cultivate a deep dialogue between one’s body and expressive movement.
This workshop is for professional training as well as personal growth;
beginners and experienced practitioners; bodyworkers, dancers, counselors, social workers, health-care providers.
